Team Camp Update

Despite several heavy rain showers, the first day of Team Camp at Windridge was a success. The Hanover boys played two scrimmages, and all 42 players got some playing time. Hanover beat Colchester 1-0 in a rain-shortened match on a tiny pitch carved out of nowhere by Field Architect Grabill. Jonathan Fenton scored, and the Hanover offense looked sharp. After a rain delay, the Marauders played Sunapee (and former Lightning teammate Leo Kontoes) on the big field, and prevailed 2-1. Eric Jayne scored a sweet goal on an equally sweet pass from Aaron Segura. Jacob LaPoint scored an excellent goal after some slick passing by Ian Strohbehn and Peter Bensen, both playing on familiar ground. Brendan Barth did the traditional airplane post-goal celebration, and was nicknamed Ultralight by his teammates.

Hanover is back in action Saturday with scrimmages against Springfield, The Sharon Academy and Rivendell (and Touchine teammate Aaron Hibbard). We're hoping the rain holds off!
