The Junior Varsity had an easy time of it against a young Plymouth squad on Tuesday, taking a 5-0 lead by halftime and cruising to an 8-0 victory to push their record to 5-0 on the season. Alex Dodds gave the Marauders the only goal they would need to open the scoring, followed by an unassisted strike from Zach Taylor. Ian Strohbehn then struck for a brace, assisted by Ryan Brigham and Daniel Hernandez. Jacob LaPoint wrapped up the first half scoring, assisted by Drake Greenwood. Connor Gordon opened the second half scoring, assisted by Dodds, and then LaPoint struck for his second score of the afternoon on Taylor's helper. The lanky Lyme-ite then earned his second assist on the day on Chris Stephens' goal, rounding out the scoring.
Andrew Brown went the distance in goal to record the shutout, backing up an outstanding defensive performance by Ben Manning, Jay Mobilia, Daniel Osheyack and Basel Dashti. The Marauders now wait a week until next Tuesday's showdown with Lebanon.
