Reserves Lose a 5-4 Shootout to Bedford
The HHS Reserve team played well against a skilled team from Bedford High School, losing 5-4 in a wild shootout that saw each team score three times in the second half. Bedford dominated play in the first half, and held a 2-1 lead , with Alex Brown recording the Marauder tally. Three times in the second half, Hanover would tie the score, only to have Bedford jump back into the lead, their final score coming with only seconds left in the match. Tor Hathaway's goal tied the match at 2-2, and Ryan O'Rourke scored one of the best goals of the season the knot the scoreline at 3-3. After Bedford went ahead yet again, a great solo effort by Daniel Slayton evened things at 4-4 before Bedford's last-minute heartbreaker. Hanover's next match is a road game at Coe-Brown Academy in Northwood on Wednesday.
